Andretti to start Indy 500 from Row 5, Karam in Row 8

INDIANAPOLIS — Nazareth natives Marco Andretti and Sage Karam secured their starting positions Sunday for the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 during Armed Forces Pole Day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Andretti will start the historic May 29 race from the middle of Row 5, while Karam will start from the middle of Row 8. Andretti qualified the No. 27 Snapple Andretti Autosport car 14th with a four-lap average of 227.969 mph. He had to settle for qualifying for positions 10 through 33 after being bumped out of the Fast Nine group Saturday by teammate Ryan Hunter-Reay in the waning minutes of qualifications.
